Low Carbohydrate & Low Glycemic : Rich in protein and low in carbohydrates to match the natural diet, ACANA Sport & Agility is free of the high glycemic grains (such as rice and corn) found in conventional foods. Long associated with obesity and diabetes, high glycemic grains break down quickly, causing a rapid and large rise in blood sugar – a major concern for competition dogs. That' why low glycemic steel-cut oats are ACANA's only source of grain.
