Farmina Vet Life Struvite Management feline formula is a complete dietetic food indicated for the management of the recurrence of struvite uroliths and for the treatment of idiopathic cystitis.
Mode of Action : The low concentrations of protein, phosphorus and magnesium create an environment unfavorable to aggregation and precipitation of struvite crystals. The acidifying action of DL-methionine and ammonium chloride maintain a slightly acidic urinary pH, inhibiting the formation of crystals and bacterial overgrowth. These conditions make the product useful in the treatment of idiopathic cystitis.
Treatment Modalities : The duration of dietary treatment for the maintenance is up to six months. It is recommended that a veterinarian’s opinion be sought before use and before extending the period of use. Serve the product as it is, following the daily quantity indicated in the table. The daily quantities can change according to breed, environment, physical exercise, temperament and severity of the disease. The quantities shown in the table are purely indicative and require an adjustment to obtain optimal weight. The dose can be divided into two daily meals or more. Always leave a clean bowl of fresh water throughout the day in order to hydrate the animal as much as possible.
